E-Cell DTU in collaboration with MLH hosted ‘EXECUTE – The Largest Digital Hackathon of India’ and imbibed the vision to empower the Hackers. 

Major League Hacking (MLH) is a New York based official student hackathon league. Every year, they power innumerous competitions that inspire innovation, cultivate communities and teach computer science skills to more than 65,000 students around the world. 

MLH is an engaged and passionate maker community, consisting of the next generation of technology leaders and entrepreneurs.

Execute provided the essential platform for those who strive to create a change in the society through their out of the box ideas, zeal and ardour. 

It was one of a kind experience for amateurs, professionals and most importantly hustlers. 

  • INAUGURATION 

The Hackathon was inaugurated by the esteemed dignitaries, after which an overview and guidelines of the event was announced. The ‘execution’ of transforming ordinary into extraordinary commenced.

  • READY.SET.HACK.

The problem statement was released and the hackers started their vigorous brainstorm session. The official theme of Execute Hackathon 2020 was 

“Innovation in Healthcare”

  • WORKSHOPS 

At night there were fun activities and game nights for the hustlers to pause and recharge themselves. Informative workshops were conducted to hone and polish the skillset of the hackers. 

DAY 2

  • THE ENDGAME

The competition will reach its final stage – the endgame when the ideas were further shortlisted. 

  • PRESENTATION 

The top 10 ideas reached the finale presented their idea in front of the esteemed panel of judges.

The judges were – VALERIA SADOVYKH, Emerging Technology Global Delivery Lead, PwC Labs, SOUMITRA LIMAYE, Director, Digital Technology Lab, IBM Software Labs, AJAI GARG, Sr Director at Ministry of Electronics & Information, PRADEEP JHUNJHUNWALA, Director – Partner Technology at Microsoft and NITIN RAJ, Director at KPMG India. 

The judges carefully scrutinized the ideas and presentations of the teams and finally the winners were announced. 

The winners of the Hackathon were: 

1st – PDSD Assistant 

2nd – SchizoFRIENDia

3rd – JEEVAN — Organ Donation and Stem Cells Blockchain Ledger

The winners won exciting cash prizes worth Rs. 25,000, goodies from MLH and our sponsors.
